Digital Diagnostic Imaging

Pioneering digital diagnosis, delivering compassionate care

Digital imaging is a modern miracle, but at Ellenville Regional Hospital we believe that operating intelligent machines is only part of our professional responsibility. We know that our patients are concerned and may be anxious and so we are dedicated to providing information and giving you the individual attention necessary to make each procedure comfortable and to produce definitive results.

Creating a new standard in diagnostic accuracy

ERH Diagnostic Imaging department employs the latest equipment and procedures, expert technologists, and reassuring personal care. Our lead technologist teaches clinical echocardiography, radiologic technology and ultrasound to students from colleges and technical schools who are doing their clinical rotations at ERH. We are training a new generation of technologists on-site and maintain the high standard of excellence that you would expect in a teaching hospital. ERH Imaging will save time and anxiety by helping to reach a speedy and accurate diagnosis.

Procedures

CAD Mammography – highly accurate cancer detection

Early detection of small breast cancers by screening mammography greatly improves your chances for a full recovery. ERH is a beta site for a new and more accurate kind of digital mammography, known as a CAD system. Compared with conventional mammography, CAD mammography can read the density of tissue and distinguish cancerous vs. non-cancerous tissue with great accuracy.  Imagine the kind of reassurance this offers. Knowing your test has this level of accuracy is literally priceless.

Comfort, care and individual personal attention

A mammogram is a deeply personal experience.  Our mammography technologist has years of experience and is popular with her patients because she’s compassionate, caring and skilled at making your mammogram experience successful and free of discomfort. It’s this kind of care that brings women back to us time after time.
