2018 Ellenville Hospital Gala & Silent Auction

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, the Ellenville Regional Hospital Foundation honored Blossom Rozman at its annual Gala and Silent Auction. The event was held at The White Wolf Restaurant and Lounge in Napanoch, NY. Presenting the award to Ms. Rozman was William Brown, Chairman of the Ellenville Regional Hospital Foundation Board, and Steven L. Kelley, President and CEO of Ellenville Regional Hospital.

Ms. Rozman has been a member of the Ellenville community since 1956, having moved here with her husband Joe. Among her numerous community activities, Blossom has been an ERH Auxiliary Board member for many years. In that capacity, she has served as co-chair of the Auxiliary’s Annual Luncheon Committee. In addition, in the early 1960’s, Blossom envisioned and developed the Auxiliary’s annual NYS Theater trip fundraiser, which still continues today!

The Foundation would like to recognize the generous sponsors of the Gala: athenahealth,

Coombe, Bender and Co.,  Constable Custodial Services, Inc., Emergency Medical Associates, Gillette Creamery, Health Quest, Mobile Life Support Services, Nevele Resort & ProSport Campus, Orange Regional Medical Center, Sterling National Bank, The Institute for Family Health, Travers O’keefe, Villa Veritas Foundation, White Wolf Restaurant and Lounge, and the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.

Centerpieces for the Gala were once again generously created and donated by the members of the Shawangunk Garden Club.

Ellenville Regional Hospital is a leader in healthcare innovation, collaboration and quality care. It is our mission to bring advanced services to our community and beyond. Some of our current top initiatives include our Opioid Abuse Reduction Program, implementing a Hologic Genius™ 3D Mammography™ unit and our innovative Swing Bed Care with our Barthel Index Project. Both our Opioid Abuse Reduction Project and the Swing Bed Project have gained statewide and national attention. Both initiatives are being replicated in sizable hospitals and healthcare systems statewide based on our effective results. Proceeds from the Gala, which raised over $70,000, supports the development of such programs and technological advancements to keep the mission of the hospital thriving. For example, funding has supported the recent purchase of the Hologic Genius™ 3D Mammography™ Unit, which has the fastest compression time and provides better, earlier breast cancer detection.
