On May 30, 2018, Ellenville Regional Hospital's Max Series Opioid Reduction Project was featured in a video at the N.Y.S. D.S.R.I.P. M.A.X. Series Symposium in New York, NY. The event highlighted the 10 top D.S.R.I.P. Projects. Presenting the project was Steven L. Kelley, President & C.E.O. of E.R.H. Also representing E.R.H. was Ashima Butler, V.P., C.O.O. and Maria Gonzalez, R.N., Director of Nursing and Manager, Emergency Services. Dr. Amy Boutwell, the subject-matter expert who led the project, was also in attendance.

D.S.R.I.P. is an acronym for Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments - which is part of the Medicare Redesign Program in N.Y.S. The Medicaid Accelerated eXchange (M.A.X.) Series, as part of the D.S.R.I.P. program, has put front-line clinicians in a position to lead change. E.R.H. is part of the Westchester D.S.R.I.P. and is their leading M.A.X. series program!

Kudos to all the of the providers and staff at E.R.H. for making a difference in the lives of the patients who present to our Emergency Department seeking pain medication!
