Hospital Raises Over $70,000 at Annual Gala

On Saturday, October 3, 2015, the Ellenville Regional Hospital Foundation honored the Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary at its annual Gala and Silent Auction. The event was held at The White Wolf Restaurant and Lounge in Napanoch, NY. Presenting the award to Lillian Green, President of the Auxiliary Board, was Chuck Davidson, Chairman of the Ellenville Regional Hospital Foundation Board, and Steven L. Kelly, President and CEO of Ellenville Regional Hospital.

The Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary is an important arm of the hospital. Since its inception on November 7, 1923, the Hospital Auxiliary has been dedicated to supporting the hospital and its mission to provide quality health care services to meet the needs of the people who live, work or visit our surrounding communities, with a compassionate and respectful attitude for the patients and their families. The current Auxiliary members show their support by raising funds through community events, and by operating the Hospital Gift Shop. The Auxiliary makes a generous donation to the hospital annually, which in recent years has helped to fund Cardiac Rehab Equipment, Ambulatory Surgery Patient Recliners, the Hospital’s upgraded website and new furniture for the hospital Cafeteria. These contributions of the Auxiliary is greatly appreciated by everyone associated with ERH and the community as a whole.

The Foundation would like to recognize the generous sponsors of the Gala: Coombe, Bender and Co., Ellenville Senior Apartments/Jonah Mandelbaum, Emergency Medical Associates, Gillette Creamery, Health Quest, Jeff Bank, Millennium Medical Imaging, Sprague & Killeen, Inc., Sterling National Bank, The Institute for Family Health, Travers O’keefe, Villa Veritas Foundation, and the White Wolf Restaurant and Lounge.

Centerpieces for the Gala were generously created and donated by the members of the Shawangunk Garden Club.

The event raised over $70,000. Proceeds from the Gala and Silent Auction will assist the Hospital in funding targeted capital projects, and will provide funds for Hospital staff clinical and continuing education.
