Hospital to Honor The Institute for Family Health at Annual Gala

The Board of Trustees of Ellenville Regional Hospital and the Ellenville Regional Hospital Foundation are pleased to announce that Neil Calman, MD. and The Institute for Family Health have been chosen as the honorees at the Hospital's annual Gala and Silent Auction.

The Gala will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at The Sullivan in Rock Hill, NY. This year’s event will once again include a fabulous Silent Auction!

The Institute for Family Health operates the Ellenville Family Health Center, located on the premises of Ellenville Regional Hospital. It has been serving the community since 2007.

The Institute for Family Health is a federally qualified health center network with 26 practice sites in New York State, including the Ellenville Family Health Center, which offers primary care, dental care and mental health care for children and adults. The Institute also operates three family medicine residency programs, including the Mid-Hudson Family Practice Residency, the first recipient of a Teaching Health Center award in New York State, permitting the Institute to place residents at the Ellenville Regional Hospital. In 2009, all Institute centers received the highest recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance as Patient Centered Medical Home, and in 2007 it was designated a National Center of Excellence for the Elimination of Disparities by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Neil Calman, president and CEO, serves as a member of the Health Information Technology Policy Committee of the Office of the National Coordinator representing vulnerable populations.
